If you know master folk artist and apprentice teams in Missouri who want to sustain their traditions, tell them about the Missouri Folk Arts Program. Send them here to our website to access applications, due August 31, 2018, for Missouri’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. A PDF of the 2018-2019 application is available here to print or download.

In the application, you will find definitions of key terms that guide the project, as well as step-by-step instructions and the criteria our panelists use to review applications. We require each team to submit a four part application: master artist; apprentice; work plan with budget; and work samples.
